Timōrātus / Timoratus is a band from the USA. They've done various genres over the years, from electronic to black metal to doom/death to drone and more. However, they made the decision recently to stick to death/grind oriented music. This particular album is absolutely gorgeous, yet not well-known at all -- a mix of black / drone / doom / ambient. These genres are typically very dark and melancholic, but this is deep and thoughtful in a very hopeful and positive way. I don't normally promote music so heavily in these descriptions, but seriously, if you like atmospheric metal,
