Original painting is "The Triumph of Death" by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. It's a painting about the black plague. The "Grind" EP is part of a 4-part series of releases by the band. It tells a story about a person's struggles and finding faith during the black plague. I'm fairly certain the story told in the lyrics is fictional and not based on a historical person, but I'm not entirely certain.

Timōrātus / Timoratus is a band from the USA. They've done various genres over the years, from electronic to black metal to doom/death to drone and more. However, they made the decision recently to stick to death/grind oriented music.
