For context, this artwork is based on a passage in Numbers 22. Some like to use this passage to criticize Christians, to call us stupid for believing in "a talking donkey". As if the text doesn't explain plainly and clearly that the talking donkey is a divine miracle and a one-time exception to established norms.

Rotting Serpent (is/was?) a raw / depressive / black / doom metal project from Canada. (Note that not 100% of music released under this name has been Christian, but most of it is.)

Some readers might notice the similarity to secular band Rotting Christ's logo. Over the years, Michael has wished to explain this: "Somewhat naïvely, I fashioned the RS logo after Rotting Christ's logo, not thinking at the time about the cringey trend of Christian Metal bands to offer "Christian versions" of various secular bands. Back in earlier days though, I suppose this was seen as 'cool' somehow, and was looked at with less scrutiny than today (where it just seems kitschy)."
